Cassandra R. Davis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
My overarching research and teaching agendas focus on advancing opportunities for equity to socially vulnerable schooling communities following an environmental disruption.

I define schooling communities as all individuals involved and connected to schools. This means students, educators, their families, and community members.

Prior to my appointment in the Department of Public Policy at UNC-CH, I received my Ph.D. and M.A. from the School of Education at UNC-CH and my BA from Wake Forest University.

This website will serve two functions:
(1) Provide an update on my work, research, and media appearances.

(2) Provide relevant research, products, and information to educators, policymakers, and stakeholders who are interested in exploring topics related to environmental disruptions to schooling.
I hope that all who enter this virtual space will receive information that will benefit themselves, students, educators, and the communities they serve.
